Lindsey Jennings

Lindsey Jennings

Lindsey has been dancing all her life. She began dancing when she was 3 years old and competing when she was 8 years old. Lindsey has won several local and state talent competitions for her dancing. She was the 1996 Illinois State talent champion and she received 3rd place in 1995. She has been paid to perform and dance in the Miss Illinois Pageant for the Miss America circuit. In 1997, she performed in the Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade in New York City. Lindsey was also chosen as a UCA All-Star Cheerleader where she was asked to perform for the Queen in London and perform at the half-time show of the Outback Bowl. Lindsey was also a professional dancer for the Continental Basketball Association, The Quad City Thunder, for two years and she was chosen as a member of The Quad City Steamwheelers Deckmates.

Lindsey has also studied power tumbling since she was 8 years old and has qualified and competed at the Jr. Olympics. Lindsey has an Associates Degree in Elementary Education from Black Hawk College and she has a well-rounded Bachelors Degree in Individual Studies with an emphasis in Education, Business, and English from Western Illinois University, Macomb. Lindsey has also studied tap and jazz at Western Illinois University. Lindsey is a licensed Zumba instructor as well as a ZIN member.

Lindsey has been the choreographer for many local and county pageants the past 10 years such as Henry Co. Fair Jr. Miss and Little Miss divisions, Annawans's Little Miss Blaze, and Miss World Festival. Many of her students have won pageant titles with her choreography. Such titles her students have won are: Little Miss World Festival, Jr. Miss World Festival, Little Miss Black Hawk Valley, Jr. Miss Black Hawk Valley, and Miss Black Hawk Valley Outstanding Teen Runner-up, she has also had students place at nationals and runners up in the Illinois State talent competitions.

She has 16 years of studio ownership experience and has taught both recreational and competitive dancing on the state and national level. Lindsey's favorite part of teaching is watching the students have that first "AH-HA" moment when they learn a step or something new. Teaching and dancing are both passions she loves and looks forward to instilling the love of dance to your child as well! She is currently assisting in the Main Street Orion pageant choreography.

Nicole Patterson

Nicole Patterson

She has a great interest and love for all things performance – dance, tumbling, cheerleading, singing, and acting. Nicole was a member of Sherrard’s Poms squad, Show Choir, and Choir in high school. In addition, she acted in several plays and musicals including Annie, Hello Dolly, and Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat – thoroughly enjoying every minute of performing. At the University of Illinois, Nicole studied tap and jazz. She was also a member of the women’s show choir at the University of Illinois as well. After college, Nicole found a new passion – Jazzercise!! Nicole has been a Certified Jazzercise Instructor since 2003. In addition to teaching Jazzercise, Nicole has enjoyed coaching a high school cheerleading squad at Denver Lutheran High School. She has also assisted with the Orion Scarlets. Nicole continues to teach Jazzercise and sing in her church. She is beyond thrilled to be a part of the LDX team and can’t wait to share her love of dance and performing with the wonderful kids of the community!

Ashlie Kuriscak

Ashlie Kuriscak

Ashlie lives in Moline, IL. She has a Bachelor of Arts in Biology from Augustana College. She has extensive dance training in ballet, lyrical, pointe, jazz and tap. She also has taken classes in yoga, pilates, and weight training from Augustana College. She continues to practice yoga and pilates. In high school, she was on her school’s dance team and choreographed routines for the team. She was also on a reputable dance competition team for many years. Ashlie was a Quad City Steemwheeler Deckmate. She has continued the love of dance as an adult and has taken classes at Ballet Quad Cities where she also took barre with the company. Ashlie enjoys children and has many years of teaching and assisting preschool church lessons and leading AWANA groups for 5th and 6th grade girls. Currently, Ashlie is a dental assistant at Quad City Orthodontics and is certified under the Iowa Board of Dental Examiners. She is CPR certified.

Sara Marner

Sara Marner

Sara Marner has a strong passion for dance. She cheered and danced through middle school and high school and is now the Spirit Squad coach for Orion High School. She was a UCA All-Star Cheerleader in high school and traveled to London to perform in the New Year’s Day Parade. Sara is also a certified Jazzercise instructor and currently teaches locally. Sara has a Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration from Ashford University and is currently working on a Master’s degree in Speech Pathology from St. Ambrose University. She has been a life-long dance and cheer enthusiast and looks forward to instructing at LDX this fall!

Alicia Labash

Alicia Bakener

Alicia started dancing in 1992 at Eastman School of Dance in Dixon, IL where she was danced competitively for numerous years. She attended Nationals in Las Vegas and won 2 National Titles on her Junior team. She also attended Nationals in Orlando, FL where her Senior team won 3 National titles. Along with her teammates, she was selected to dance on stage at Disney's Magic Kingdom. Her love for dance and competition followed her into college where she participated in the Greek Week dance competition for her sorority. She has training in tap, ballet, modern, lyrical, pointe, and hip hop. Her favorite styles to teach are tap, jazz and lyrical. She is excited to share her dance knowledge with our students.

ARIELLE MONSON

Arielle Monson

Arielle began her journey in dance at the age of 2, as a student under the direction of Miss Lindsey. She has danced competitively on teams and as a soloist* in lyrical, jazz, and tap*. 

In 2013 Arielle began assisting Miss Lindsey with classes and transitioned her student work back to LDX to focus on tap as well as teaching. In 2016 Arielle was overjoyed to join the LDX team as a lead teacher.A student at Orion High School, Arielle is an active member of the music department. She participates in band (clarinet), choir, as captain of the OHS Color Guard, and is a member of the Orion Drama Club (actor and choreographer*). Roles she has played include (Storyteller) The Wedding Story, (Logainne) The 25th Annual Putnam County Spelling Bee*, (Mrs. Webb) Our Town, and (Mimi) Guys and Dolls*.

At LDX, Arielle teaches classes in ballet, jazz, tap, and color guard. She loves working with all age groups. She enjoys picking out new music, costumes, and trying new ideas in her choreography.Dance is a true passion for Arielle and tap dancing has always been her favorite! 

Dassah Skelton

Dassah Skelton

Dassah is from Port Byron, IL and is currently studying nutrition at Southern Illinois University Edwardsville. She has been dancing since the age of 5 and is experienced in tap and jazz. Dassah has studied tap dancing at SIUE, along with yoga and kinesiology. She started student teaching dance at the age of 16 and moved up to assistant teaching a year later. She taught ages ranging from 3 to 13 years old while in high school. Dassah has continued to be passionate and love dance throughout the years. She is very excited to be part of the LDX team this summer!

Jade Parr

Jade Parr

Jade started dance classes at the age of 3 with Miss Lindsey. She has studied tap, jazz, ballet, and lyrical. Most recently, Jade has had the honor to teach dance to a class of young children with special needs. She has been a cheerleader for Geneseo since her freshman year. She has competed in pageants since she was 5 years old and has held several titles. These titles include: Little Miss Blackhawk Valley, Miss Illinois Princess, Miss Mississippi Crown Outstanding Pre-Teen, Miss Chicago Outstanding Pre-Teen, and Miss Illinois Valley Outstanding Teen. She has found her love for the Miss America system and is the current reigning Miss Blackhawk Valley Outstanding Teen where she enjoys performing her talent, dancing. Perhaps we will see Miss Jade on TV someday vying for the crown as Miss America someday? She is excited to be teaching in the studio where she has grown up and where her love for dance began!

Morgan Gainey

Morgan Gainey

Morgan Gainey is an Orion High School native and has been dancing since she was a little girl. She has studied tap, jazz, ballet, lyrical, and hip hop. She has over ten years dancing experience with Miss Lindsey. She has experience competing in competitions such as Talent on Parade where she was chosen in the Top 5 of her age division. She has also attended teaching assistant seminars where she has learned current teaching methods. Also, she has been training with Miss Lindsey and assisting her classes.

Morgan has also tumbled since she was 4 years old and has competed and placed in the top 3 for her age division at tumbling meets. She is in her 6th year of cheerleading at Orion High School. Morgan is no stranger to the stage as she also has been involved in high school plays where she has had the opportunity to act and sing.

Morgan also has experience in modeling. She is a graduate of Barbizon, a school for acting and modeling. Under SK Model Management, Morgan has attended training seminars and has modeled in a fashion show for Old Navy and two photo shoots. Morgan is currently working on her portfolio. Morgan is excited to teach your child the love of hip hop and poms!

Jordan Larson

Jordan Larson

Jordan Larson has been involved with dance since she was 3 years old. She has studied many different styles of dance. Jazz is her all-time favorite. Jordan has also participated in tumbling since she was 5 years old. She has attended Orion Cheer and Pom Camp since she was 5 years old and has continued her cheerleading career from middle to high school. Recently, she has turned her focus solely to dance as she has always had a strong interest and skill in dance.Jordan has attended Chicago Dance Association training to learn more teaching and dancing techniques to further her skills as a dancer and teacher. Jordan’s love for dance continues as she continues to take dance classes to grow and learn as a dancer and instructor.

Jordan is also a part of the Miss Main Street Orion Pageant board and helps choreograph the routine for both Junior and Little Miss. Jordan’s goals are to continue to dance on a college team and continue her teaching and choreographing as well.

Morgan Jungwirth

Morgan Jungwirth

Morgan Jungwirth has been dancing and tumbling since she was two years old. She started competing competitively in tap, jazz, ballet, and lyrical when she was 9 years old. Her dancing career has continued to thrive by being accepted on the cheer squad since her 7th grade year. As a current member of the Orion High School squad, she participates in elite dance camps where she continues her training in Poms, Hip Hop, Jazz, and Kick.

Morgan currently choreographs the dances for her High School team. She also has been a student teacher under the direction of Miss Lindsey. She has a true passion for cheer and dance and looks forward to working with the students at LDX!
